Pediatric Orthotics
Designed to Support Growing Bodies
SMOs, AFOs & Toe-Walking Designs
Supramalleolar orthoses, pediatric AFOs, UCBLs, and toe-walking designs to improve foot and ankle alignment, balance, and walking pattern. Available prefabricated or custom fabricated.
Clubfoot Maintenance Bracing
Abduction bars and Ponseti-method bracing to maintain correction following physician-directed clubfoot treatment, with refitting scheduled as the child grows.
Protective Helmets
Prefabricated, professionally fitted, and custom-fabricated protective helmets for children and adults with a documented clinical need for head protection.
Advanced Knee Bracing
The Right Knee Brace Changes How You Move
Osteoarthritis, ligament instability, and post-surgical recovery are three different clinical problems, and they call for three different devices. We fit prefabricated and custom knee orthoses based on your diagnosis, measurements, activity level, and your physician's treatment plan, then adjust the device until it performs as intended.
Osteoarthritis Relief
OA & Unloader Knee Bracing
Unloader designs reduce load on the affected compartment of the knee by redistributing force toward the healthier side. For many patients with unicompartmental osteoarthritis, this allows greater walking tolerance and improved daily comfort.
- Medial and lateral compartment unloading
- Prefabricated and custom OA designs
- Adjustable load control
- Low-profile options for wear under clothing
- Suitable for conservative management or pre-surgical care
Ligament Stability
Functional & Sports Knee Bracing
Functional braces control the translation and rotation an injured or reconstructed ligament cannot resist on its own. Options range from prefabricated sports braces to custom-measured frames built for sustained high-demand activity.
- ACL and PCL support
- MCL and LCL stabilization
- Combined-instability bracing
- Custom-measured functional frames
- Measurements taken on site
Controlled Recovery
Post-Operative Knee Bracing
Following surgery, the treating physician determines how much flexion and extension the knee is permitted, and when those limits change. Adjustable range-of-motion braces allow those stops to be set precisely and revised as recovery progresses.
- Post-operative range-of-motion braces
- Knee immobilizers
- Adjustable flexion and extension stops
- Standard and low-profile designs
- Adjustments made at follow-up visits
Everyday Support
Hinged & Patellar Support
Not every patient requires a rigid frame. For mild to moderate instability, anterior knee pain, or general support during work activity, a hinged or compression design is frequently the more appropriate option.
- Hinged knee braces
- Patellar stabilizers
- Anterior-closure supports
- Compression knee supports
- Breathable neoprene alternatives
Complex Mobility Support
Stability That Extends Beyond the Ankle
When weakness, paralysis, or joint instability affects the knee or hip, an ankle-foot orthosis alone cannot provide the required support. A knee-ankle-foot orthosis or hip-knee-ankle-foot orthosis carries load through the full limb, and is frequently indicated following stroke, femoral fracture, post-polio syndrome, or neuromuscular disease.
These devices require precise alignment. We evaluate strength, range of motion, limb alignment, and functional walking goals, then specify joint selection accordingly, whether free motion, drop lock, stance control, or dynamic.
Hand, Wrist, Elbow & Shoulder
Support Function. Protect Healing.
Upper extremity orthoses restrict painful motion, protect healing tissue, and improve joint positioning while preserving as much functional use of the arm as possible. Common indications include fracture, post-surgical recovery, nerve injury, tendon and ligament strain, and overuse conditions.
Spinal Orthotic Care
Targeted Support From the Neck to the Pelvis
Spinal orthoses are selected to control motion, support healing structures, improve positioning, and provide stability. A compression fracture, a lumbar fusion, and pregnancy-related pelvic pain each require a different level of control, and each is fitted differently. We reassess fit after the patient has worn the device in daily use.

Sports & Specialty Bracing
Support Built for the Activity Ahead
Athletes and physically demanding workers need protection that supports recovery without unnecessarily limiting performance. We provide bracing for ligament injuries, joint instability, fracture protection, post-operative recovery, and return-to-activity progression for patients throughout Southern New Mexico.
The Right Level of Support
Professionally Fitted or Fully Custom
Not every patient requires a custom orthosis, and not every condition can be managed with a prefabricated brace. Determining which is appropriate is the first step of the evaluation. We assess the level of support, control, accommodation, and durability required before recommending a device.
Professionally Fitted Braces
A standard-sized device, selected for the diagnosis and then sized, trimmed, heat-adjusted, and strapped to the patient. The professional fitting is what makes the device effective.
- Appropriate for many acute injuries and common conditions
- Available for the knee, spine, neck, and upper extremity
- Same-day fitting is often possible when the correct size is in stock
- Fitted and adjusted by a trained orthotic fitter
Custom-Fabricated Orthoses
Fabricated in our own laboratory from detailed measurements, a plaster impression, or a digital scan, for patients whose anatomy or clinical presentation cannot be accommodated by a standard device.
- Designed around individual anatomy and functional goals
- Indicated for complex deformity, weakness, or instability
- Common in pediatric, neurological, spinal, and long-leg bracing
- Evaluated and fitted by a certified prosthetist-orthotist
